    @theboss1337 – …
    @theboss1337 – You’re welcome! Yeah, a stress hormone called ‘cortisol’ can have a harmful effect on muscle and weight gains if we train for too long each workout. Aim to halve the duration of your current workouts to limit this effect. And probably a good idea to grab the free 20 videos series I set up at skinnygainmuscle(dot)com for more tips (if you haven’t already). Enjoy.

    @skinnygainmuscle …
    @skinnygainmuscle Thanks for your help. How much time do you suggest I spend in the gym doing resistance training? Right now I am doing 2 hours whenever I go (Twice a week). Is this too much? Because I heard that if yo spend too long in the gym you start developing this substance(forget what it is called) in your muscle that actually eats away it in making your muscles smaller. Thanks :)

    Hi @theboss1337 – …
    Hi @theboss1337 – Just to repeat, taking protein shakes is completely OPTIONAL to gain weight if you’re getting your eating and training right. However…if you choose to take supplements…A protein shake could be as simple as a scoop of whey protein powder with milk or water. (And if you’re getting inventive, then launch in frozen berries, or banana, or a scoop of peanut buttter etc…). Re. your Question on ‘Overtraining’: aim to build in at least 48 hours between each training session.

    @TucoZizou True, …
    @TucoZizou True, I’ve heard some guys do continue growing up to age 21 (& even 25). At 17, your body should be ready for lifting weights if gaining weight and muscle is your goal. And the focus for us naturally skinny guys is on getting IN and OUT of a workout as efficiently as possible, with plenty of recovery and rest in-between. Also, most guy’s nutrition actually improves when they eat right to gain weight, so your body gets even more of the fuel it needs to grow. The 20 vids explain more.

    Hey Im 15, 5′5 and at 120lbs and looking to gain weight, in one of your other videos you mention protein shakes, so i was wondering what supplement you would reccommend and how do I even make the shake? Also in your comment to xJacob711x, you mentioned not to overtrain, what do you consider overtraining to be? Thanks for help :)

    Hi @xJacob711x – Be careful NOT to overtrain as that can hurt your growth. Make sure you sign up for the 20 videos at skinnygainmuscle(dot)com to get the basics for free. And if you REALLY want to make a change and gain more weight and muscle, then you’ll probably want the whole 17-week system too. Again, you’ll find out all about that by signing up for the free videos. Best of luck, and I look forward to hearing about your success!

    Hi @yoFarhan – Good …
    Hi @yoFarhan – Good work in getting started. The main challenge with milk for many guys, is that it makes them feel full and bloated really quickly, and limits their appetite. If you can handle it, then great, but it’s not for everyone. I recommend also focusing on both your daily calorie needs and exercise plan as well, as these will really help drive your weights gains. (The 20 videos at skinnygainmuscle(dot)com will give you the basics of how to do this for free). Thanks and all the best.

    Hi, im 5,5 and about 110. But that may sound good, i have really small forearms, but nice thick legs. The problem is though, i lift like crazy and drink almost too much milk. Please refer me to anything that can help me. Im having some girl problems along with this, because they say im too small for them, or not tall enough. I desperately need help.

    Hi @666mikespike – …
    Hi @666mikespike – I can’t really answer that for you as it’s totally your choice. Question is, how do you feel about your current weight and size? If you’re happy the way you are, then great. For myself, I’m 6 foot and my starting weight was 154 lbs. I felt skinny and wanted to change. Today I’m 190 lbs. Remember, the motivation really has to come from within ourselves, otherwise we’re unlikely to stay committed to getting results. Hope this helps, and thanks for watching.
