Getting the body you want is achievable, and you can do this while still maintaining your career, and without neglecting your family. To do this, you have to first commit to doing this. You have to make this an important goal in your life, and to do this, you have to value yourself enough to do this. You have to realize that you are important to your family, and as an employee, as a neighbor, a friend, whatever your most important roles in your life are to you.
You then have to understand that in order to be the best you can be, and to be healthy, and to be around a long time to fulfill these roles, and to take care of the people who are most important to you in your world, you have to find an exercise routine that accomplishes what you want, without taking up hours per day to accomplish. It’s simple. All you need are some basic free weights, maybe a mirror, and some room to work out. I am a big believer in multi-tasking when working out, which allows you to actually burn more calories, build more muscle mass, and save time, all at once. I recommend combining squats while doing bicep curls, lat raises, tricep extensions, military presses, etc. You can vary the types of squats, and vary the width of your stance, and I also recommend an isometric-type squat which involves doing the free weight exercises while standing in low stances.
This builds muscle in the upper and lower body, and burns calories. By doing this and regulating your breathing to a slow, controllable pace, you also improve your cardiovascular as well. In addition, a lot of great ab work can take place in the standing or lying positions, involving weights, for example, when sitting on the ground and using a barbell, like a rower would use a paddle in a canoe. There are a lot of variations to this exercise. Essentially, it is important to remember that building muscle and burning fat does not take a lot of time, it simply takes the commitment to do this consistently.
